Azazie and I are bringing you the 101 on how to style that one gown used for your best friend's wedding. I have written about how easy it is to use Azazie when buying dresses for bridesmaids, now we're talking about how to style that gown for christmas parties, Sunday brunch, or a Mardi Gras Ball (Yes, we do have Mardi Gras Balls in New Orleans and they're fun).
Coming up: The 3 different ways of styling your bridesmaid dress into a whole new look.
The Christmas Party Look
Accessories are key, highlight the color of the dress with a bold lip or layer a buttery moto jacket for an edgy look. Hats and boots are optional, but recommended for compliments.
The Sunday Brunch Look
Skip the brush and rock a hat to hide those flyaway. Wear crop top for a high waist look accentuating the waist with a belt. Bonus points if your dress has pockets!
The Mardi Gras Ball Look
Carnival season will be upon us, choose simple accesories and an up-do hair style for 360 accessibility to beads and the dancefloor.
Best practices
Don't focus on the length and style, it can be intimidating. Focus on the color and textures for a fashionista look.
Start with the shoes, comfort is important and it will be a good starting point to dictate the rest of the outfit.
Play with your hair: wear a hat, headband, or let it flow naturally for a look for less.
Tailor to taste, maybe the dress wast too long or you would rather it be a top. Determine what is the best investment your closet.
The Molly Bridesmaid Dress featured is available on Azazie for only $129.
